I guess the least we all nailed or screwed. Can I paint individual pieces. Before painting, sand the wood with sandpaper 120 or 150 grains. Then, with a manual premium, such as Benjamin Moore Fresh Start. The primer may be the grain of the wood. If so, sanding lightly with sandpaper 150th Finish with 2 coats of semi-gloss enamel. Ben Moore Aqua Glow is a good choice of color. Enter the color of approximately 5 days to complete, before starting to heal the beds, and take longer. Other brand and consider the quality of color, to close Sherwin Williams, Pittsburgh and Pratt & Lambert. Avoid Behr colors, the worst that I will ever use. Use a brush to facilitate high-quality work and better results. I recommend Purdy or Wooster.

I recommend the use of wood stain instead of paint
No matter what kind of paint, the use of abrasion
and wear
You can find patches of color, so it should not only wood tones
